Looking forward to the motorsport highlight in the Eifel

Phoenix Racing is set to compete in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring on the weekend of 10 to 13 May. The experienced team will be looking to add to its number of victories at the German endurance classic with one GT3 car and one GT4 machine in the SP9 and SP8 classes.

With four overall victories at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, Phoenix Racing is one of the most successful teams ever to compete at the highlight of the Nürburgring’s blue-riband event. The team, which hails from the Eifel Mountains region, is aiming for another win to add to its tally at this year’s 24-hour race.

“The 24 Hours of the Nürburgring is a particular highlight of our racing calendar,” Phoenix Team Principal Ernst Moser said. “Our team of drivers are extremely well equipped to rise to the challenge and I can’t wait to go racing.”

This year the Meuspath-based team will be entering two cars in the famous race. Christopher Haase, Frank Stippler, Frédéric Vervisch and Nico Müller will be behind the wheel of the #3 Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the SP9 class. In the sister #41 GT4 car, young drivers Milan Dontje, Nicolaj Møller Madsen, Max Hofer and Xialo He will be fighting for the win in the SP8 classification.

The first free practice session starts at 1:20 pm on Thursday 10 May. After the various qualifying sessions, the race will begin on Saturday 12 May. This year will once again see RTL NITRO broadcast the entire event live. You can also follow the whole event online via live stream.
