Finally back on track!

It has been a long winter break, but now the racing is finally starting again. The first VLN round of the season takes place on 23 March, marking the start of the 2019 season for Phoenix Racing! The team headed up by Ernst Moser will be on the grid in the Eifel mountains with two cars – one driven by Vincent Kolb and Frank Stippler and one piloted by Steve Jans and Kim-Luis Schramm.

The Meuspath-based team is sticking with one established driver line-up but also entering a newly formed duo. Kolb and Stippler already recorded top-placed finished in 2018, and the Nordschleife experts will be targeting further podiums in 2019. Another experienced Nürburgring driver will be joining the fray in the shape of Steve Jans. The Luxembourg driver will be handling driving duties behind the wheel of the red-liveried #9 car together with youngster Kim-Luis Schramm, who is a recent addition at Phoenix Racing.

The first round of the Endurance Championship has always been a happy hunting ground for Phoenix Racing Team. In 2016, the team celebrated a one-two finish in race 1, with Frank Stippler and Anders Fjordbach taking the win closely followed by Christopher Haase and Laurens Vanthoor. Phoenix Racing took its last pole position here in VLN1 2014. High time, then, that Phoenix Racing climbs to the top of the podium once again!

As usual, the lights go green for the race around the legendary Eifel circuit at 12:00 pm. The four-hour race will be broadcast on the official livestream in its entirety.
