DTM: Scheider and Rockenfeller in the top ten again

In round two of the DTM weekend at Budapest, Timo Scheider started the race from position 13. Mike Rockenfeller started three places behind his teammate from position 16. Both DTM drivers of Audi Sport Team Phoenix managed to make up several places. Shortly before the end, Scheider still overtook Maxime Martin (BMW) and came in sixth place. Rockenfeller advanced to position eight and, as a result, finished in the points as well. Marco Wittmann (BMW) and Daniel Juncadella (Mercedes) were disqualified later – due to a low level of skidpads on the underbody.

Ernst Moser:
“I’m very, very pleased with our performance. We finished in the points with both cars in both races. This really deserves credit because we’re coming from the far rear. Hopefully, we’ve shaken off all the misfortune of the previous races. We’re traveling to Hockenheim with fresh courage and are going to give everything for Audi to win all three championships.”
